The PhD Association was created to help PhD students support each other and navigate their academic journey smoothly. Our goal is to encourage interaction, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among students. We also aim to provide resources for career and personal growth and to represent the interests of PhD students in important decision-making processes.

PhD symposium
Every year, the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research and NERF team up to host welcoming days and a symposium specifically for PhD students.
Social activities
The PhD association helps students to connect with others, at dedicated mentoring sessions or at a range of activities, from basketball, to hiking or board games.
